ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSES
Group classes are a great way to learn about what communication arts is all about- communicating with others.
These project-based classes encourage students to collaborate with one another to improve their skills in speech & debate, theatre, creative writing, video production, and overall communication arts.
Virtual Sessions
The Art of Argumentation, Persuasion, and Evaluation
Over the span of 3 weeks, students will gain exposure to meaningful skills to help them in school and beyond with instructor Michael Bole. Through the use of entertaining speech exercises, engaging mock-interviews, thought-provoking discussion, and more, students will find value in this course and the tools it provides. Students will also be provided with material to review outside of class time. Tuition includes access to live instruction and additional material.

All the World's a Stage
Ms. Brittany introduces students to the skills and disciplines needed to be
a focused and successful actor. Class is based on group activities, acting techniques, scene
work, monologues, improvisation, and imagination. This course will provide a wonderful
opportunity for the students to express themselves creatively in an unintimidating and
accepting environment where students will grow artistically.

Intro to Communication Arts
Students will receive an introduction to the different aspects of the communication arts audition for middle school. The course includes 8 weeks of instruction provided by Mrs. Bornia with a focus on public speaking, news article writing, media analysis, and more.

Fundamentals of Movie Making
In this class, students will work with Miss Radley to learn the fundamentals of movie-making. Creating storyboards, writing treatments, shot composition, filming, and editing from home!

Foundations in Competitive Speech
Students will work with Mr. Kevin to learn the fundamentals of competitive speech. The 8-week program will help students gain an understanding of the speech events while they put together a performance of their own.

Creative Writing
Students will learn about the different aspects of writing stories. The course includes 8 weeks with a focus on developing stories, including character development, setting, plot, and working with dialogue. Ms. Salzman will work with students to create fables, myths, poetry, narratives, and more.
